  Infrastructure Ontario

PCGI is proud to be an advisor to Infrastructure Ontario in the development of a draft Project Implementation Plan and delivery model for Build-Finance and Design-Build-Finance-Maintain (DBFM) projects. This model enables consistent delivery of projects in order to achieve strategic objectives.
  St. Catharines Health Complex

PCGI is proud to be working with Niagara Health System, Infrastructure Ontario and the Ministry of Health and Long-term Care to help develop and manage the plan to get the New St. Catharines Health Complex to market by summer 2007. This long-awaited “greenfield” hospital is the first full Design-Build-Finance-Maintain (DBFM) hospital to be delivered through the province’s Alternative Financing and Procurement process.
 
  Halton Healthcare – Annual Planning Cycle Process Plan

Halton Healthcare successfully mapped their annual planning cycle process enabling project prioritization and decision-making. Working with HHS executives, PCGI mapped the process flows associated with the annual business planning, focusing on internal and external budget planning processes.

New Projects and Accomplishments:

  MDS Diagnostic Services Transition Complete

PCGI is proud to have contributed to the successful transition of MDS Diagnostic Services into a stand alone entity in Feb 2007. PCGI facilitated the development of the execution plan and provided strategic insight throughout the implementation of this complex initiative.
     
  PCGI Completes Strategic Study for Federal Government

PCGI together with Corporate Research Group (CRG) completed a major study for Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) titled Performance Analysis and Project Delivery Process Review of Completed Office Accommodation Projects. Using industry best practices, our team developed metrics that measured project critical success factors. The recommendations of this study will be used by PWGSC to further enhance their project delivery methodology.
     
  Chinook Centre Expansion, Calgary

PCGI has been engaged by Cadillac Fairview to develop an implementation plan for a 175,000 sq ft multi-level expansion to the Chinook shopping centre. The strategy will be to develop a plan that maintains tenant operations and enables an early construction start, while lease negotiations with tenants continue and municipal approvals are obtained.

  Bridging Business Acquisition and Project Execution

Bryan Chen, Director with PCGI, presented “Bridging Business Acquisition and Project Execution: Success Factors from the Transition of the $1.3 Billion Sale of MDS Diagnostic Services” at Project World/ Business Analyst World 2007. He and Stuart Baltman, Director, MDS Diagnostic Services, shared their insight and experience on how they successfully planned and executed an organization-wide migration/transition.
     
  Eclipse Project Portfolio Management

PCGI and Solution Q have partnered in order to enable organizations to improve their project portfolio management and project delivery capabilities with a number of professional service offerings. Using Eclipse Project Portfolio Management software as a tool, PCGI is helping forward-thinking organizations successfully manage their entire portfolio of projects and align them with business objectives.
   
  Nina Lowe Obtains PMP Designation

PCGI is proud to announce that Nina Lowe has obtained the Project Management Professional designation from the Project Management Institute in March 2007. The PMP designation is the globally recognized credential for project management excellence. Congratulations Nina!
     
  John Wieser Obtains CMC Designation

PCGI is proud to announce that John Wieser has obtained the Certified Management Consultant designation in April 2007. The CMC designation is the profession's only globally recognized credential. The Canadian Association of Management Consultants awards it to those few individuals who meet stringent international standards. Congratulations John!
