Fall Fete 2007:

  PCGI would like to thank our clients and colleagues for coming out to celebrate another successful year. This year’s event, held at the Boiler House, welcomed back familiar faces and greeted many new individuals and organizations to our annual event.

News:

  Industry Accomplishments

PCGI is proud to have assisted many of our clients in the Ontario health care industry in achieving the following major accomplishments on schedule:
  • Halton Healthcare Services – Master Plan submission to the Ministry of Health
  • Runnymede Healthcare Centre – Commercial and Financial Close in Sept. 2007
  • Niagara Health System – Request for Proposals to market in August 2007
  • Sault Area Hospital – Financial Close in August 2007
  • William Osler Health Centre – Oct 28 opening of Brampton Civic Hospital


  Rouge Valley Health System (Ajax Pickering Redevelopment)

PCGI assisted RVHS with the development of the construction sequencing for their Build Finance project that allowed for alignment of construction activity and ongoing hospital operations. PCGI are now engaged to provide construction monitoring services during the current implementation phase.
  Kingston General Hospital

PCGI provided planning assistance to the project team during the development of Build Finance RFP documentation including design, financing, FF&E, IT and construction sequencing activities. The RFP has now been released to market.
 
  New Engagements

PCGI is pleased to announce our participation on the following new projects:
  • Centre for Addiction & Mental Health Redevelopment (Phase 1B)
  • Whitby Mental Health Centre Master Planning (in alliance with Agnew Peckham & Urban Strategies Inc.)
  • Bridgepoint Health Capital Redevelopment Project
  • Markham Stouffville Hospital Capital Redevelopment Project
  • West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Redevelopment Project


  Waterfront Toronto

Waterfront Toronto has engaged PCGI to assist in the implementation planning for the Central Waterfront Redevelopment. The Central Waterfront Redevelopment is a portfolio of multi-million dollar capital initiatives to enhance Toronto’s waterfront. The projects include the Central Waterfront Master Plan, Queen’s Quay Revitalization, Bridges, Slips, and the Water’s Promenade.
  Scotiabank Trading Floor

PCGI is excited to be working with Scotiabank on the development of an expanded Trading Floor project in downtown Toronto.
   
  CBC Redevelopment of Toronto Broadcast Facility

Renovating the entire CBC Toronto Broadcast Facility while maintaining TV + radio broadcasting will involve multiple relocations of studios and staff. PCGI was engaged to assist CBC in developing an optimal relocation strategy to enable the redevelopment and determine swing space requirements as the renovations evolve.
   
  PCGI Completes Parliamentary Precinct Study for Federal Government

The historical West Block on Parliament Hill requires rehabilitation and upgrades while the House of Commons and Members continue to operate every day. To enable that rehabilitation, multiple relocations to other buildings are necessary resulting in a series of inter-connected projects. PCGI’s study recommended a number of key opportunities to enable the Federal Government to successfully execute the West Block Program.
   
  Ontario Association of Medical Labs

PCGI has been engaged by the Ontario Association of Medical Labs to assist the member labs, MoHLTC, and Cancer Care Ontario in the development of an integrated Implementation Strategy and Plan for the Colorectal Screening Initiative for Ontario.

Consulting Leadership and Knowledge:

  OHA Capital Conference

PCGI is pleased to have participated in the June 2007 OHA Capital Conference. John Wieser, Principal with PCGI, shared his experience from early Alternative Finance Procurement engagements in “Planning Your AFP Project – Challenges & Lessons Learned”.

  SharePoint Launch: PCGI Best Practices

PCGI has internally launched SharePoint services, as the first part in the knowledge management path for our Best Practices. SharePoint will enable all of PCGI’s team members to have 24/7 sharing and access to PCGI’s Best Practices and knowledge garnered from the full range of PCGI’s engagements.
     
  Team Member Celebrations

PCGI is proud to welcome the following individuals to our growing team:

  • Samantha Harrison (Office Administrator)
Andrew Norris (Senior Consultant) and Ralph Chan (Lead Analyst) both celebrated their third anniversary with PCGI! Congratulations to Andrew and Ralph, we look forward to many more.
     
  Building Our Community

PCGI is pleased to have assisted Second Harvest in the planning for their Operational expansion which is now underway. Second Harvest is a charity that collects excess food and delivers it to shelters and drop in centers. They provide almost 13,000 meals every day for families and children in need. Their expansion project will allow them to meet the growing need for their services in Toronto.
