Borealis Purchase of MDS Diagnostics On behalf of Borealis Infrastructure, PCGI has been working with the MDS Diagnostics management team to facilitate the development of an integrated plan for the migration of the $1.325 Billion acquisition that was announced on October 5, 2006. The migration plan includes the implementation of initiatives across all functional areas of the MDS Diagnostics business including Finance, HR, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Real Estate, Information Technology, Communications, and Legal. |

(IO) Infrastructure Ontario’s new PM/ Project Delivery Best Practices![]() PCGI has been invited to work very closely with Stantec Consulting and the IO Project Management Office to contribute to the development and documentation of IO's project management, project delivery and project planning/ scheduling best practices. Bank of Montreal - Barrie Computer Centre - IT and Facility Integration![]() PCGI enabled the Bank of Montreal to deliver a state-of-the-art data centre (325,000 sq.ft.) on a fast-tracked schedule. Providing the bridge between the IT Client and the Facility team, PCGI planned and managed the integration requirements through the development of a cohesive project plan. Occupancy was successfully achieved on June 30, 2006 in order to meet the mandated regulatory deadline. |

Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) – Operations Planning ![]() PCGI has been providing project leadership in the operational planning associated with the CAMH multi-phase redevelopment. Through facilitated planning workshops, PCGI integrated the site redevelopment with the operational requirements to create an overall Operations Plan. New Design-Build-Finance-Manage (DBFM)’s – Humber River Regional Hospital, Halton Healthcare Services PCGI is part of the hospitals’ management team in developing the implementation plan for the new greenfield hospitals for both Humber River Regional Hospital and Halton Healthcare Services (Oakville site). Both hospital's are following the new AFP delivery model under the oversight of Infrastructure Ontario. Early planning includes strategies for securing site, zoning and site plan agreements, completing their Master Program, Master Plan and Functional Program, and position themselves to better inform the Project Specific Output Specification process. |

Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital (SMGH) – Redevelopment Complete! SMGH recently completed an expanded Emergency and Ambulatory Care department as part of a new addition, along with an expanded Post Op, Day Surgery, and DI departments. PCGI is pleased to have been a partner throughout the process, to plan and successfully implement the project. Our congratulations to SMGH on the official ribbon cutting on September 8, 2006! |

Kingston General Hospital (KGH) – Implementation Planning PCGI has been engaged by KGH to provide project implementation planning for both the Kingston General Hospital renovation and addition (under traditional MOH Capital Planning) and the new Providence Continuing Care Centre (under AFP process). Also included is portfolio/program management for the KGH portfolio of smaller operational projects, including sequence of construction work review to reduce operational risks to KGH. |

Sudbury Regional Hospital – Occupancy Planning The SHOP Group has been awarded the occupancy implementation for Sudbury Regional’s major expansion project. The SHOP Group, comprised of the team of EHE International, Nicholls Yallowega Bélanger Architects and PCGI, offers a combination of occupancy planning, scheduling, and local hands-on move coordination to undertake occupancy implementation for Sudbury Regional Hospital. |

Throughout the month of November, the entire PCGI team will be participating in a customized workshop through Schulich’s Executive Education Centre.
